How are we different from the competition?

At Biome-Canada, we care about every single one detail, so we offer high-quality products that can be used commercially. We use only high-quality components to maintain standards that are superior to the competition. In addition, we offer excellent service before, during and after sales: one of our major strengths that contributes to our success and is appreciated by our customers. All of this allows us to put our experience to good use in order to accompany our clients in their projects and to ensure a good follow-up afterwards. Can I buy an oTENTik?

Out of respect for our client, we decided to offer this product exclusively to Parks Canada.

Do I need a license to install a Biome-Canada product?

Our products are defined as tents (oTENTik, Yurt, Minka, Pendola, Quadra, etc.). In a tent, normally there is no running water or sanitary equipment. The installation of a tent does not require a license on private land. For permanent installations, please contact us, we will provide you with all relevant information for your project. You will subsequently be able contact the competent authorities.

Is the floor provided?

Normally, the floor is provided. However, in the case of a yurt, the base model does not include the floor. If the client wishes to build her or his floor, we provide the plans free of charge to make a floor with a minimum of tools and knowledge. They are respectfully called “plans for dummies”, without judging the abilities of anyone. Once the floor is built, our clients are proud of their achievement. We can also make the floor for you upon order.

What is the lifetime of Biome-Canada products?

The lifetime of the wood frame is virtually unlimited; as long as the wood is protected from the weather. The lifetime of the fabrics is 12 years and more according to different factors.

Can Biome-Canada products be used in winter?

This is one of the great times to enjoy our products. For example, our 20 foot diameter yurts warm up at a rate of 1 ° C per minute with a wood heating system. Or about one hour to raise the temperature from -20 ° C to + 20 ° C.

What type of heating can be used in Biome-Canada products?

All types of heating (propane, electric, natural gas and wood heating) can be used. However for wood heating we recommend certain types of wood stove equipped with an outside air intake.

What is the delivery time for Biome-Canada products?

Depending on our backlog and the ordered product, our products are normally delivered between three and four weeks after signing the contract.

What is the warranty for Biome-Canada products?

The warranty is one year against manufacturing defects. The fabrics, depending on the type chosen, have a warranty of 5 to 10 years, depending on the manufacturer.

Is it difficult to install Biome-Canada products?

Customers can install our products. However we offer the installation services, which allows for a trouble-free installation.

Why install the yurt on a round floor?

In order to preserve the structure of the floor, we highly recommend the construction of a round floor, because all the components are thus protected from the rain.

What maintenance of Biome-Canada products should be done?

Biome-Canada manufactures products that require very little maintenance. So, sit on the terrace, grab your glass of wine, beer or coffee and listen to the birds!

Does rain enters into Biome-Canada products?

The technique of fabrics assembly by welding at high frequencies ensures the sealing. No sewing is done on the outer fabrics.
